Hi, let me tell you a bit
about my background:
I was born in Brazil, but dedicating my childhood to playing tennis led me to the U.S. by way of a college tennis scholarship. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Utah State University and went on to The University of Texas as a teaching assistant, receiving a Master of Arts in Advertising. At The University of Texas, I also published research studies on advertising and completed the school's creative portfolio program for art direction. I have no shame in saying I'm an advertising nerd.
Earlier in my career, I was recognized by the Art Directors Club and had my work displayed as part of an exhibition tour in art museums around the world. I was also honored to represent the U.S. at the Cannes Young Lions competition in 2012.
From 2014 to 2017, I was the lead art director on the California Milk Processor Board (got milk?) account at Gallegos United. During that time, my partner and I created and sold the first total market campaign for both the client and the agency. Ultimately, our efforts helped the agency consolidate the entire iconic "got milk?" account.
Along with that, my work has been recognized by the Clio Awards, New York Festivals, and a few other distinguished award shows. It has also been featured on prestigious publications such as The New York Times and multiples times on Ad Age's Creativity Pick of the Day.
I’m currently working as a Senior Art Director at R/GA. As a side hustle, I'm co-creating a digital platform that we hope will offer the world a better way to buy and sell art (www.fwaex.com).
