Jose Jorge Netto

I was born in Brazil, but I moved to the U.S. in my teenage years to pursue my dream of becoming a professional tennis player. My natural talents didn’t quite take me to Wimbledon, but I was dedicated enough to earn a tennis scholarship in college. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Utah State University and a Master of Arts in Advertising from The University of Texas at Austin, where I also served as a teaching assistant, researcher, and completed the school’s creative portfolio program.
Early in my career, my greatest achievement was having my work displayed as part of an exhibition tour in art museums around the world. I was also honored to represent the U.S. at the Cannes Young Lions competition in 2012.
From 2014 to 2017, I was the lead art director on the California Milk Processor Board (got milk?) account at Gallegos United. During that time, my partner and I created an irreverent sub-brand for “got milk?” called Bones Love Milk, which was anchored in California’s action sports culture. We also produced the first total market campaign for both the client and the agency. Ultimately, our efforts helped the agency consolidate the entire "got milk?" account.
Along with that, I’ve been fortunate to produce other campaigns for different brands that have been recognized by prestigious festivals of creativity and effectiveness as well as by distinguished publications.

I’m currently working as a Senior Art Director at R/GA.
